sign&save: Wacom launches new signature tools for any business
Wacom introduces its first signature solution for small and medium businesses
Today, Wacom announces sign&save, its first plug & play signature capturing solution for small and medium businesses. The new sign&save solution combines hardware - a STU LCD signature tablet - with the specifically created software, Wacom sign I pro PDF, that enables smaller companies to integrate digital handwritten signatures into their workflow easily.
Established technology for a new market
Wacom has a successful track record of integrating signature solutions into the document management systems of large companies, banks, hotels and retailers in cooperation with different software partners. "Being the market leader for more than 25 years Wacom transfers its experience and knowledge straight to the small and medium business sector", says Peter Sommer, General Business Development Manager at Wacom Europe GmbH. "Thanks to sign&save Wacom finally makes the advantages of a digitalized workflow available to smaller companies as well."
Wacom′s sign&save solution can be used for all business applications that need handwritten signatures to authorise or confirm business processes. It saves time and money by eliminating the need to print or scan documents and archive storage space is no longer necessary. The solution is easy to handle and has been specifically designed for smaller businesses who frequently work with documents either in the field, at the desktop computer or public counter.
sign&save is available in two different versions, either for stationary or mobile usage. Both products are based on Wacom′s pen tablet technology. sign&save, consisting of Wacom sign I pro PDF software and the STU-500 LCD signature tablet, is the perfect tool for public counters and point of sale. sign&save I mobile, ideal for anyone working frequently while on the move, contains the smaller and more robust STU-300 LCD signature tablet, in addition to the Wacom sign I pro PDF software.
Wacom sign I pro PDF is the first software solution to be developed by Wacom in the signature field, following the integration of former Florentis into Wacom′s business. Wacom sign I pro PDF enables users to capture handwritten signatures electronically and merge them with the PDF document. While capturing the signature, biometric data is recorded and the signed PDF document protected by a digital certificate. This ensures that no document changes are possible after signing. The result is an authentic and unchangeable declaration of intent. The signed PDF is fully Adobe Acrobat compatible. Customers can sign documents from any application as Wacom sign I pro PDF comes with an integrated PDF printer that allows users to convert their office documents into Acrobat PDFs.
The STU-500 LCD signature tablet, included in sign&save, is the ideal tool for stationary use. It offers high performance and has a robust design that allows day-to-day use at public counters. With the 5′′ display size, it is big enough to show larger signatures or images like company logos. It is able to capture signatures with high resolution, based on 512 levels of pressure sensitivity. Due to the design of the display, signing on the STU-500 feels like signing on natural paper. Additionally, the pen is tethered to the tablet so it won′t get lost.
sign&save I mobile is equipped with the STU-300, the compact signature tablet by Wacom. With the same technical features as the STU-500, it is the best solution for mobile and flexible use. However, the 1x4′′ display is large enough for longer signatures.
Wacom′s sign&save and sign&save I mobile come with a 2-year warranty. When registering the product online, users can expand the warranty time to 3 years.
